Clamcleat Racing Junior CL211 Mk1
Clamcleat Racing Junior CL211 Mk1
The Clamcleat® CL211 Mk1 Racing Junior is a very strong alloy cleat. The fairlead guides the rope into the teeth. The specially shaped base means the CL211 Mk1 can be fitted to all curved and flat surfaces. Used on sailboats and racing dinghies, for spars and control lines. Also kayaks and sun sails.
See photo of a bank of CL211 Mk1, fitted with CL814, on a Merlin Rocket dinghy.
Two finishes are available:
CL211 Mk1 has a silver stove enamel finish for a cost effective, high quality coating.
CL211 Mk1AN has a hard anodised finish to give a hard wearing surface.
This is a popular cleat with a number of variations and accessories:-
CL203 is the nylon version of CL211 Mk1.
A slightly smaller alloy cleat is the CL211 Mk2.
Using a CL818 Tapered Pad can aid rope alignment.
Use a CL814 Keeper to keep the rope in the cleat, or out of the cleat.
If you want a becket, use the CL704.
CL217 Mk1 has a side entry fairlead on the right of the cleat.
CL218 Mk1 has a side entry fairlead on the left of the cleat.
CL230 has a bottom roller so the rope can enter from below the cleat.
The CL236 has a roller fairlead, so the rope can enter from above the cleat.
The CL826-11 has a special base that allows the CL211 Mk1 to be rigged on a rope, in mid-air.
A chromed version of the CL211 Mk1 is available for non-marine environments.
